Met Gala 2025 Fashion Recap

The 2025 Met Gala, held on Monday night at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, celebrated the theme "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style"—the first gala since 2003 to focus exclusively on menswear. This year's theme, aligned with the Costume Institute's exhibition of the same name, explored Black dandyism as a form of cultural resistance and self-expression, highlighting the significance of tailoring in Black identity across the Atlantic diaspora.

The evening's dress code, "Tailored for You," invited guests to reinterpret classic tailoring with personal flair. Zendaya captivated in a custom ivory Louis Vuitton ensemble, echoing the zoot suit era with a modern twist . Rihanna made headlines, revealing her pregnancy in a corseted Marc Jacobs creation that seamlessly blended tradition with contemporary style .
